Spring is springing ...

I wouldn't say it has sprung, exactly, but at least it is springing.  The days are getting longer and there is a hint of that warmth in the sun which signals the arrival of spring.  We went for a walk and discovered these:


incontrovertible evidence of spring!





And we met this little creature:





The trees are still bare, but the air carries a hint of spring and before long these branches will turn a lovely light green




... and then we will trade in our rain jackets and hiking boots for our warm-weather gear.



But for now we are taking the time to really enjoy the new season!

Standing

It is amazing how the perception of time changes when you have children.   It just moves so darn fast.  Ms P, who was a helpless newborn learning how to feed and sleep and hold her head up just the blink of an eye ago, has learned to stand.  And oh, the wonders of being able to do that!  Her waking hours are now filled with crawling and pulling herself up on anything that looks like it was meant to pull oneself up on (which by her definition is pretty much anything!).  The delight and sense of accomplishment on her face is a wonder to behold.
